Historic flooding early last year left hundreds of homes damaged or destroyed in Breathitt County, Kentucky. Samaritan’s Purse quickly responded and their volunteers served hurting families in Jesus’ Name as they removed waterlogged walls and flooring, ruined belongings, and cleared homes of other debris. Their teams helped dozens of homeowners in eastern Kentucky and saw 14 people receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Now, their teams have moved into the long-term recovery phase of this response and they are working hard to get displaced families back into their homes. They anticipate replacing up to 10 manufactured homes and serving several additional families by providing major home repairs.
