Each day children even as young as five are the victims of slave labour as they work long hours hammering rocks in the blistering heat in a quarry in the island African nation of Madagascar.

However a Christian children’s charity has launched a campaign to rescue 30 of these young people and give them access to education starting this September, along with school uniform(s) nutritious food, and vital mental health care.
To achieve this CRY has partnered with Le Triomphe children’s home. The charity’s Aime Gotte explains the impact they’re already having on those they’re helping..

These children that have been rescued from the quarry that are currently living in the orphanage is genuinely a transaction from no future whatsoever to a future made of hope. There are case studies of those who have moved on to university. Some are working in the tourism industry. Others are thriving in their education. So what we’re doing in not a shot in the dark. It’s something that we’ve seen work. And therefore we’re trying to implement it for a further 30 children.
And Le Triomphe also cares for the spiritual well being of the children with daily worship and Bible studies, ensuring they grow up to live out a strong Christian faith.
