Thousands of Christians in Cameroon are violently displaced by Islamist groups.

What they wanted from the beginning is to make it an Islamic state.
Nobody to sleep at home. We tell each other “They might attack this night. Let’s hide on the mountain.”
We always sleep in the mountains. Sometimes we see them come and steal our things. We can’t stop them. We see them shine with their torches and loot our stuff. It never ends. I want it to end but it doesn’t. But these days many people are displaced. There is mass displacement.
Thousands of Christians in the far north of Cameroon are displaced due to attacks from Islamic extremist groups.
They have been forced to live in the desert, find refuge with relatives, or stay in displacement camps.
Moustafa
Every family is hurt. Boko Haram has killed husbands and children. Especially widows and orphans are vulnerable. They hardly receive any help.
Pastor Youssef
The main targets of these terrorists were the church and the Christians. The displaced people arrived here almost empty handed, some even bare footed. Because they had lost everything when they were attacked by the terrorists.
Ali
You cry with orphans. You cry with widows, share their concerns. You sit down with them on their mat, or even in the dirt on the ground.
Pastor Youssef
I trust that one day peace will return because God is here with us.

Please pray for us, that we won’t backslide in our faith but that we trust God and keep firm
