Heeeey! I saw in social medias , that Jewish open space, jewish festival is taking place on this weekends in city center of Kyiv, historical city center, so I invite us to go there.. lets go. Hello! Hi! tell me please whats going on here? This is the jewish festival, in the middle of Kyiv. Im a jew, and im interested in whats going on here. – wow, amazin g thank you. -hello! -hi! – what’s going on here? – we are having jewish festival in Kyiv. -and what its about? – its about meeting new people, hanging out together, dancing in a round dances, you can watch the AI presentation, make some photos near a cool photozone, and of course u can participate in some activities, and u can get some prize like a sticker, or even a chocolate bar.. -amazing, thank you. -hi -hello! – several times here I’ve heard this word ‘’workshop’’.. what is it? – workshop is a workshop. It’s a kind of club, where people can be united, according to their interests, during 12 meetings, 12 weeks, they can talk there, meet and just find new friends. -amazing, I think we should join it.. Hi, tell me please, how do u like it here? How is the atmosphere? I’ve met so many interesting, talented, creative girls here. I’m really into creativity myself, so I absolutely love the atmosphere — it’s amazing. Everyone is so open, and it’s rare to find this kind of vibe at festivals… I don’t even know how to explain it. -friendly?? – Yeah, that’s the perfect word — such a warm, friendly atmosphere. Everyone’s getting to know each other, everyone’s so open and welcoming, and that’s why I enjoyed it so much -are you here for the first time? Yeah, it’s my first time. -wow, thank you so much. -The jewish history of Kyiv goes back to 10 th century, and some researchers say that even earlier, might be. So for me, its very interesting, nice and important, that such festivals which unite Jewish and Ukrainian nations continue this life in nowadays here exactly and all over the world. So, festival continues, we are already at absolutely other location, and as far as I know, such locations are different all over the world in different countries, in many cities, and the special atmosphere of unity, friendship, immersion in history and culture, this is something you shouldn’t miss.. -Masha, hello -Shalom! -they say, you are a chef girl here, and I wanted to ask-jewish open space -what is it about? – The JOS Festival is a festival of unity. We want to showcase modern Jewish culture, and the connection between Jewish and Ukrainian culture — how our two peoples have lived side by side for so many years and how much we share in common. – wow! And how long does this project exists? How long does festival live? – The festival has been around since 2014. It started in Kyiv, but since 2022 it has grown and become international. Now it takes place in more than ten cities across Ukraine and Europe, and that’s how we spread and share Jewish culture. -hello,could you please share,how do you like it here? Hows the atmosphere? are you first time here? – It’s our first time here, and we really loved it — I came with my son. We made a little name bracelet, there are so many activities, such a pleasant atmosphere, really nice people.
