Located in Dochok-myeon, Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, near the lush green forests of Hwadam, the History Campus, built by the United Cultural Foundation, spans approximately 50,000 square meters. It houses the History Museum, Bible Museum, performance halls, galleries, accommodations, libraries, and more.

On May 31, the opening ceremony for the newly completed exhibition hall Noah’s Ark took place after years of preparation. The structure is a three-story building, built to one-fourth the scale of the Noah’s Ark. It depicts the narrative from Genesis—God’s judgment through the flood and the story of salvation—through models, documentaries, and various immersive content.

“Noah’s Ark is a historical fact, and the Old Testament is not a myth or legend but the Word of God and a divine record. This museum proves that the Bible is a historically factual account.”

The History Campus, founded on the belief that “the history of mankind is His story, that is, God’s story,” serves as a Christian educational institution aiming to introduce and convey Christianity to the world, while also sharing Christian culture and the arts.

The Mission History Museum documents the contributions and sacrifices of early missionaries in Korea’s education and medical fields. The Bible Museum is divided into Old and New Testament halls and presents the core messages of all 66 books of the Bible.

“The vivid depiction of God’s work truly touched my heart. The scale is impressive. I think it’s an incredible representation of history, unlike anything else in Korea. I want to bring my whole family back here again.”

“I want to go home, study more, and teach this to my children. I have three kids, and I plan to bring them here to help them understand the Bible better. It’s so well harmonized with nature—I was deeply moved. I highly recommend it.”

In addition to the exhibits, the campus includes an indoor art hall, outdoor performance venue, Bible academy, gallery, seminar rooms, theater, library, theological research rooms, and rest areas.

Chairman Kang emphasized his hope that the space will provide a correct perspective on Korea’s modern history and the Bible and serve as an educational environment for the next generation.

“Our purpose is education. This should not become merely a tourist attraction. We aim to organize teams of around 30 people to spend an entire day here learning and understanding God’s will.”

After the opening ceremony and guided tours of the new exhibit, the Hymn Festival Season 10 was held at the History Yard, the campus’s outdoor performance venue, to celebrate the completion of Noah’s Ark.

Performances were delivered entirely through hymns by the United Singers, Youth Orchestra, Ariel Men’s Choir, and Agape Youth Choir. Set against the natural surroundings, grand choruses of hymns such as “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee,” “It Is Well with My Soul,” and “Amazing Grace” resonated throughout the venue.

The History Campus integrates the Gospel with culture, art, and  education. As the largest Christian cultural complex in Korea, it is hoped that the hymns and the message of the Gospel from this place will reach people across generations and around the world.
