Cho* had an extraordinary ministry: he hiked the mountain forests on the border of North Korea, looking for people who had escaped the country.

Evangelist Cho
Every week I go into the forest looking for North Koreans who made it out of their country. If they are caught, they will be sent back and put in jail. Or killed.
North Korea is the most dangerous place to be a Christian, but believers like evangelist Cho still risk their lives to share the Gospel.
Sadly the real evangelist Cho passed away the day before filming. His family want you to hear his story.
Evangelist Cho
My purpose in life is to save souls. I study and meditate on God’s word because of the mission given to me.
Go away don’t come closer. When I find someone in the forest I give them some water, food and shelter so they can rest for a while. It’s not safe for them and of course the same goes for me.
This is the mission that God has given me. Sharing Jesus with North Koreans seems impossible but with God anything is possible.
Each year North Koreans risk everything to cross the border, driven by poverty, hunger and fear.
Evangelist Cho
I want to help people survive and I want to tell them about Jesus. This couple has never heard the name of Jesus. Because believing God is illegal in North Korea.
I give a Bible to every North Korean I meet. Sometimes they read it, sometimes they refuse.
My job is to tell people about Jesus. It’s up to God to touch their hearts. And anything is possible with God. Sometimes people want to know more about meeting Jesus. Then I take them to a safe house. Sometimes they even decide to return to North Korea to share their faith in their home country. They are trying to build a church. Even though they will probably be put into a prison camp or killed.
Every day, every week, every month and every year I return to the forest to help whoever I find. Because with God everything is possible
