The Gaza conflict has not only resulted in a humanitarian crisis, but has also left many people emotionally scarred.

In response Bethlehem Bible College students are being trained to provide trauma counselling to those impacted by the fighting there.

College president Pastor Jack Sara explains more..

We provide trauma counselling which is one of our largest programs today. We went to the local churches and ministries to invite students to equip them because as you know our people are traumatized and they need a lot of help. And the best people to offer that now is Christians who are equipped with tools to speak into their lives

The humanitarian arm of the college the Shepherds Society is also providing practical support to families in desperate need..

We’re able to work together with the churches in Gaza to provide food supplies whenever they’re available, medicine, run a school, run a clinic and that’s all under the auspices of the Shepherd’s Society, so it’s ongoing.

And against all odds Bethlehem Bible College has seen an increase in student enrolment as many more young believers want to be equipped for ministry in this challenging region.
