When the war between Israel and Hamas spread to Lebanon, thousands of persecuted Christians found themselves swept up in the war and lost everything overnight.
The Christian ministry Help The Persecuted stepped in immediately, intercepting these brave believers who found themselves on the run yet again. In addition to distributing Emergency Relief Kits, fresh vegetables from their Seeds of Hope Farm, and hygiene kits and mattresses, they opened up a War Refuge Center and their safe houses to these people who found themselves displaced.
Ali moved to Lebanon after the war in Syria, searching for work. Here he came to true faith in Christ. But when Islamist terror organization Hezbollah continued to attack Israel and the war escalated, he had no choice but to flee Southern Lebanon with his family of five all riding on the same motorcycle.
Help The Persecuted’s Field Ministers Amin and Laila intercepted Ali’s family. They welcomed them into the War Refuge Center, where Ali has found safe shelter and hope.
“I prayed for the Lord to guide us anywhere safe. And He guided us here to the shelter. I thank the Lord for our safety. The way you welcomed us was so kind and loving. We did not expect anything like this. We felt safe.
The War Refuge center has become not only a place of safety, but also spiritual growth and nourishment.
“And when we came here you held Bible studies for us to encourage and help us grow our faith. We pray that the Lord continues His work in our lives. We declared our faith in Him and He will guide us now.”
Many more families like Ali’s are receiving practical and spiritual support from Help The Persecuted. Their field ministers are working at full capacity round the clock to rescue, restore and rebuild the lives of persecuted Christians who have found themselves caught in the crossfire of this conflict – and to be a witness for Christ including to the many Muslims who are open to the gospel at this time.
