Script or Transcript (English/Spanish):

Donna Waters, Homeowner

We had this huge wildfire. You’re standing in my neighbourhood in Kula, Maui. So many of my neighbours and friends, their homes are gone.

Cliff Dudley – Samaritans Purse

We’re her sifting through debris and ashes. We’ve also been a lot of chainsaw work.

Spot fires broke out when we pulled up, so we got out a bunch of our equipment and started making sure that they’re contained.

Donna

I’m like speechless about you people. You showed up with a truck and not only a truck and all these volunteers, but the kindest, sweetest, most compassionate, most giving people I think I’ve ever met. I’m smiling in the middle of a tragedy because I have so much hope and I’m so uplifted by your goodness. I can’t thank you enough. Everybody is welcome because the physical work is so daunting, so overwhelming. And none of us are spring chickens. We’re just so happy to have all these hard workers here and that’s what we need.

Cliff

We’re here for one reason and that’s to share the love of Jesus Christ. He gives us the strength, He gives us the ability being His hands and feet. There’s nothing better.
