Providing Winter Relief to Persecuted Christians in Pakistan

As Christians in Pakistan continue to face economic hardship as a result of intense persecution one ministry is stepping in to provide essential winter relief supplies to these many families in crisis.

GNA reporter Peter Wooding recently travelled to Pakistan to see first-hand how Help The Persecuted is reaching out to these vulnerable believers with the love of Christ.

In Pakistan where believers make up less than 1% of the population, following Jesus can cost everything. Churches are burned by mobs. Jobs denied because of faith. Blasphemy accusations that lead to imprisonment—or worse.

PETE STAND UP: While the majority of Christians here in Pakistan face extreme persecution they also deal with economic hardship. That’s why it’s so important at this time that Help The Persecuted, the ministry is providing emergency relief kits to families in crisis, which provides enough food to feed them for at least a couple of weeks.

And some of the Help The Persecuted team in Pakistan explain more about why this winter relief outreach is so vital at this time:

Because of the people, Pakistani people Christian people with persecution face different kinds of problems, that’s why it’s important people come here and we give food and fellowship, which is important. They face economic crisis because they have less jobs and less opportunities and that’s why we’re doing this relief fund for our Christian people.

This winter relief is important for our people who live in Pakistan. This is our main tool for sharing the love of God with the people.

And their team who provided this winter relief to more than 1,300 people share that love at every gathering, as they proclaim the gospel with those that don’t yet know Christ.
