Samaritan’s Purse teams are working alongside partner churches to assist suffering families as chaos spreads into Lebanon. As many as 1 million people—about one-sixth of the country’s population—are on the move. Many are living with relatives or in hotels. About 128,000 Lebanese people are sheltering together in makeshift camps. Some are living on the streets.
Church partners on the ground are identifying people in need and providing urgent relief. More than 500 families so far have been provided with food baskets including milk, rice, pasta, lentils, beans, and oil for preparing daily meals. Families have also received hygiene kits and bedding items.

Samaritan’s Purse is here in Lebanon responding to the crisis in the Middle East.
Hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced and are in need of urgent help, many of them having to leave their homes very suddenly and not having anything with them.
Samaritan’s Purse is here partnering with our longstanding church partner to help meet some of those needs.

Today, we distributed items like food, hygiene kits, mattresses, and medicine for people who are displaced that are really in need.
These people emotionally are overwhelmed, like any other good parent, fearful for the life of their kids and their future.
