‘Jinyi’s’ underground church was raided by Chinese police. Her husband was sent to prison. In China, a house church is illegal – but Open Doors partners are helping Jinyi persevere in her ministry.

Jinyi
This is the place where it all started. Young people, students, praising the Lord. It was wonderful. But then everything changed. The police came in unexpectedly. Most people were detained. My husband who pastored these people was sentenced to prison and fined tens of thousands of yuan.
Everything fell apart quickly. I was left behind with my two children. I thought of the young people now scared and scattered like lost sheep without a shepherd. I felt isolated. I struggles with my faith.
Days passed. I found myself sinking into silence. I was overwhelmed by loneliness. Some wanted to help, but no one dared to get too close. With surveillance everywhere, even a visit or a message can bring danger. So I was alone. But even in that loneliness, I struggled to hold on.
I tried to remind myself that God sees everything. Even when I feel unseen.
Despite the risks and danger, local Open Doors partners began visiting Jinyi to provide spiritual training and support.
Jinyi
The calling once received from God came alive again. I must help those young people stand firm in the Lord once again. I met individually with several young people over meals, encouraging them. Afterwards youth gatherings began to be held in different homes.
Your support helps me realise that the Lord has not forgotten me. He still loves me. We now have over ten underground group with a total of 70 more young people all steadily growing stronger in the midst of persecution.
Please pray for us. Our youth gatherings must remain underground. Everyone is being watched.
