David Philips – Samaritan’s Purse

Samaritan’s Purse is in a remote corner of Sudan today, where we’re responding to urgent needs in Jesus’ Name. This is the site of the greatest humanitarian crisis in our entire world.

This is a place where conflict has driven families apart. Famines have been declared.

People are suffering.

Mercy Njoki – Samaritan’s Purse

These patients come when they have not eaten. They have eaten grass and wild fruits from the roads. They come with nothing because the situation there is really bad. We have been able to treat 324 malnourished kids, and we have 6,800 kids in the therapeutic feeding programs.

We have been able to do 135 surgeries. These surgeries include cesarean sections. So that tells you that Samaritan Purse is making a change. We are making an impact, and we are saving lives, and we would like to continue doing so.

David

We’re right on the front lines here.

Across the mountain range, just behind us, is the front line of the war, and this is causing families to be displaced.

And as these families come, Samaritan’s Purse is the first one to receive them, to help them in Jesus’ Name.

Just today, we saw children who are severely malnourished that Samaritan’s Purse staff are providing assistance and help, medical care.

There was a mom who had to travel three days who was in labor, and we were able to provide an emergency C-section to save the life of the mom and the child.

And we’re providing assistance to people in a life and death situation, and we’re doing that in the Name of Jesus.

We just did a screening, a rapid screening of children under the age of five and their moms who are either moderately or severely malnourished.

These are families that have just arrived to this camp that Samaritan’s Purse is helping provide emergency assistance to these people.

This is a really desperate situation.

This is the greatest humanitarian crisis in the world.

Famine has been declared here twice over the last eighteen months.

So we want all of you to know that God loves you, and He has not forgotten about you in Kadugli.

He has not forgotten about the people of Tobo camp.

God loves you.

And we pray all of this in the Name of Jesus, which is the strongest Name.

What matters to us is the individual lives, the individual families that we’re able to touch and to help, to provide assistance in Jesus’ Name.

Please pray for the Samaritan’s Purse teams that are here in Sudan on the front lines, providing urgently needed assistance.

Pray for this conflict to end so that the country can be restored and peace can come.

And go to our website at samaritanspurse.org to learn more about how you can be involved in this incredible work to help people in Jesus’ Name.
