Go Day Bible Distribution
===
Reporter: [00:00:00] According to Bibles for the World CEO John Pudaite, the ministry has now distributed over 40 million copies of Scripture in 128 countries. Go Day is just their latest and largest Scripture distribution event.
Pudaite: For 1.4 million copies of God’s Word to be distributed in one single day, I think this does break the record.
Reporter: And this global vision began with a dramatic story of conversion in a tiny and remote area of India, where a single copy of the Gospel of John transformed a tribe.
Pudaite: Dad was a Bible translator, translating the Bible into the language of our people, the Mar tribe, who at the turn of the century during the British occupation of India were known as one of the fiercest headhunting tribes in all of India. And the gospel came to us and miraculously started a process of transformation. And within that first generation, our entire tribe was evangelized primarily by its own people.
Reporter: The massive push comes amid a surprising global [00:01:00] phenomenon, a sharp uptick in Bible demand. While developed nations see rising retail sales of Bibles of every size, shape, and color, remote regions face a different reality.
Pudaite: But in a lot of the countries we’re working in, this is the first time that there has ever been a printed piece of Scripture delivered to some of these remote rural locations. And there are countries where, you know, there may be millions of people, but in the history of that country, perhaps only in terms of a few tens of thousands might have been printed.
Reporter: With rapid advancements in AI, the ministry believes the goal of reaching every language group by 2033 is now possible. But translation is only half the battle. Bibles for the World remains committed to navigating the final, most difficult mile, getting the printed word directly into eager hands.
Pudaite: Get it there into their hands and into their minds and into their hearts with a life-saving message of Jesus [00:02:00] Christ.
