Bunni Pounds founder and president of Christians Engaged, took the podium on the final day of America Reads The Bible at the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC last month — the very place where her 2024 visit to the Old Testament Experience first inspired a national call to Scripture reading and discipleship.

Millions of people went online to witness one of the largest ever Bible reading campaigns in US history last month.
America Reads The Bible took place at the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC with over 500 Christian leaders from all spheres of society reading the entire scriptures cover to cover for 84 hours.
Behind this historic initiative was Bunni Pounds with the ministry Christians Engaged. She says it was remarkable how many people stay tuned in throughout the week:
The amount of people the hundreds of thousands of people that streamed this non-stop was a real surprise. We’re still getting reports from social media and emails and text messages that never turned it off on their phones, in their family rooms, in their churches. It was deeply impactful for people to hear the word of God being read.
And evangelist Franklin Graham closed the week with a prayer of salvation, inviting viewers and those in attendance to personally respond to the Gospel and place their faith in Christ, bringing the national reading to a prayerful conclusion.
